Hebrews 6:12

“so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God’s love is inescapable. His grace is inescapable. The cross is inescapable. These are statements that we should be reminding ourselves of every day. There is nothing that we can do that can steal us away from Christ. Ephesians 4:30 ESV “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” We have been sealed by The Holy Spirit and that seal cannot be broken. No matter what we do after we become saved we are bound to him. Romans 6:18 ESV “and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.” So if this is the case, why don't we just do whatever we want? We are already guaranteed a seat in Heaven, so why don't we just do whatever we want? Because we know it is wrong to. Because we understand that Jesus was sent to die on the cross for our sins and that our sins will only lead us death. Hebrews 10:26 ESV “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,” If we continue in our sins after being saved by Christ, we are basically claiming that Christ died for no reason, and that his death was pointless. What an insult to God. What a horrible way of repaying the infinite debt of the grace he showed us by sending his one and only son to die on the cross for us. We should be looking to the fact that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and constantly be praying to God, thanking him for the gift of all gifts that's he's given us, especially being that we couldn't be more undeserving of it. Also God has promised us that he would bless us when he adopted us into his grace, which just goes to show that his grace is so abounding that aside from already guaranteeing us eternity that he will continue to bless us on this Earth. Hebrews 6:14-15 “saying, "Surely I will bless you and multiply you." And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.” So when we realize what God has done for us, we shouldn't become lazy and live a life of excuses, but rather we should be thankful and in that appreciativeness be driven to serving him, in which we will be blessed for our service. Understanding that Christ’s death made us dead to sin and that we are no longer slaves to it, but rather to God’s righteousness. Let us serve our master to the best of our ability, for he has given us everything. Tomorrow I will attempt to do three things that I don't feel like doing because of sluggishness that I know are edifying to the body of Christ.
