Romans 15:1

“We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Everyone has their weaknesses in life. I know what mine are and because I know what mine are it humbles me in the sense that I can relate to people when they are too weak to go through something, to weak to be around certain things, or just need help getting through certain situations. Weakness comes in many forms and is something that all believers have to deal with while traveling through life. However, there are definitely believers that are stronger than others. Whether they are just stronger because they have been walking with the Lord longer, they haven't had to deal with certain issues in their lifetime, or they've just overcome most of their weaknesses already in their life. The stronger one is the more they tend to not be stumbled by the same weaknesses that the weak are stumbled by. They are able to be around all different types of things and people that could perhaps lead to sin or just be a weight on most people's shoulders, but they remain unencumbered by such things. In their strength though, they have to be aware of their fellow saints’ weaknesses. We have to realize that just because some of us can push through various difficulties and hardships doesn't mean that all of our brothers and sisters in Christ can too. We have to be sensitive to the things that stumble those around us and be loving to those that are stumbling. If we can edify those people and continue to build up their strength we will be much more impactful in building those people's faith up and allowing them to succeed in Christ. If we were to just leave them behind or force them to attempt to be as strong as the wise, it could just break them down and separate them from the Lord. Honestly it would probably be easier to just leave those people behind. To let them suffer in themselves and to just seek out only the strong believers and stay committed to them. However, Christ didn't come for the strong, he came for the weak. And in our own ways, we are all weak, and just as Christ came and lowered himself for all of us, we should lower ourselves for all of our brethren. There are a couple of weaknesses that I've noticed with some of my classmates when it comes to talking about drugs and suicide. Today, I’m going to be on guard for making sure that no one is stumbled in their walk through these topics, and if they are I will seek to give them counsel.
