Romans 12:6

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Every person on this Earth was uniquely created by God to serve a specific purpose that is a part of His plan to redeem this Earth of all of its sin. Ephesians 2:10 ESV “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Now we all have different purposes to fulfill in our lifetime, and because of that we all have been given different gifts and talents to be able to succeed in those predestined works that God has prepared for us. Unfortunately for us, we don't know how God is going to use our gifts to have us serve. Although we may know our spiritual gifts and maybe even know how we are meant to use those gifts, we don't know what setting we are meant to use those gifts in and how we will work with others using those gifts. Sure, for example, when it comes to going to the field if we have the gift of encouragement we know who our teammates will be and that with that gift we are meant to encourage our teammates to push forward in serving the Lord. However, we don't know when and how we are going to need to encourage people. We don't know when will be the right time to encourage someone and how to go about encouraging certain individuals on our teams because every individual will most likely need encouragement in a different aspect of their life. And that's just one of the many gifts that all of will be using, not to mention that many of us may have the same gifts that we will be wanting to use on the field, so how will we know when which person will be needed in a certain situation? So the problems could become numerous in a very short amount of time in the field, especially for a team like mine, who has eight team members. So I will have to make sure while I am in the field that I remain as flexible as possible and act out of discernment when using my gifts that God has given me. For my application I'm going to write down all the spiritually gifts that I feel I have and that my teammates have so I can study them and see how we may be able to work together.
